The wedding I went to last week was all set up with gorgeous mikasa crystal accessories for all the reception tables. On every table were lovely mikasa weddings and mikasa crystal glasses. The bride really has excellent taste in wedding décor and knows how to set an exquisite table. With all the mikasa accessories she had on the tables, it was a picture of elegance.
They had lovely little place card holders that were the cutest silver doves, with bride and groom placecards on their tails. The elegance of her reception tables were enhanced by the lovely centerpieces she had chosen. A beautiful floral arrangement was placed around pillar candles as the centerpieces. They also chose very impressive thank you gifts for all of the guests. Each one of us received beautiful mikasa crystal wedding favors. They chose lovely little gift boxes with hang tags that said thank you to package our gorgeous mikasa crystal favors in.
Deep chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese topping each of the five layers with the fantastic wedding cake they had. As the cake topper she had a really unique idea. Since she ordered most of her wedding supplies and decorations from an online wedding store, she decided to check out the cake toppers too, and found out they customize wedding cake toppers. The bride and groom on the cake topper look just like the wedding couple and they did this with only a couple head shot photos of the bride to be and her fiance. It looked just like them. My mom and dad are having a renewal ceremony for their anniversary, and I’d like to find out where she ordered that cake topper from so I could get one made for their reception party.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. Watching the looks on the guys faces as the groom removed the garter from the brides leg, was priceless. All of them were reaching and pushing into each other with the sole objective of being the one to take home the brides garter. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. As the old man walked off with the garter in hand he was smiling from ear to ear.
To toast the bride and groom we were given champagne flutes that had the bride and grooms name printed on them with the date of the wedding ceremony, and we got to take these home as keepsakes of the celebration. After the toast it was time for the bride and groom to take their place on the dance floor for their first dance together as husband and wife. They made such an elegant couple as they danced across the dance floor. After their first dance was over, the dance floor was over run with couples. I think I over extended myself on the dance floor, my feet ached so badly.
We all wished the bride and groom good luck as they left for their honeymoon. Hawaii was the honeymoon destination, from what I was told by one of the guests. Looks like their honeymoon will be just as fabulous as their wedding was. The remaining guests stayed behind for hours and continued to party.
I received my thank you note for my gift and my presence at the wedding and reception, after only two weeks. She must have sent out her thank you cards as soon as she got back from her honeymoon. I did manage to get the information on the website that she ordered everything for the mikasa crystal wedding from and the unique wedding cake topper too. I’m ordering what I need for my parents anniversary wedding party today.
