The amount of possibilities can be overwhelming when you’re when putting together a ceremony and reception, but it’s also quite a thrill at the same time. When my daughter was going to be a bride, the most difficult part of helping her out was getting her to decide on something. She had to select the kind of wedding she wanted to begin with, either one with a specific type of motif, or to go with a more standard type of ceremony. My poor daughter examined every option for the type of wedding she would have, and she was unable to select one that was right for her. Some of the options she kicked around were doing a gardening theme or a sand and surf theme. Ultimately, our new bride opted to go with a pretty conventional wedding. With that decision finally out of the way, we were able to start planning.
The church was reserved, and so was the reception hall, and all of the invitations had been sent out. The wardrobe for both the bride and the wedding party had been picked out already, so we were able to zero in on things that we’d need in order to put on the reception. In addition to finding a wedding guest book and a picture album, there were some other things that we had to pick out yet. There was no shortage of wedding guest books to pick from, and the decorations on a big percentage of them were absolutely beautiful. There were many gorgeous wedding pens to choose from too, that matched with many of the guestbooks. We weren’t quite done picking things out yet and my daughter saw this wedding set with a white satin cover and bow, with rhinestones, that had six pieces. Along with a ring pillow and wedding garter, which were very attractive, was a charming flower basket and unity candle. A
guest book for wedding came with it. It was astonishing to us to see that many charming accessories and supplies for so low a cost. The picture album we picked out for the special day was really cute; it had all kinds of neat pages for small souvenirs and art. Talk about a wonderful picture book to cherish your memories with.
The last things to take care of was place card holders, a wedding cake topper, and gifts for the guests. All of the rest of it had been dealt with. Our blushing bride picked out a pair of glazed porcelain doves to use as her cake topper. That wedding cake topper will make a lovely keepsake. My girl picked out small, shiny silver picture frames to use as place card holders at the reception dinner. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. She did alright picking out her wedding accessories and reception supplies. She bought a lot of items at discount prices, so she saved a little money and plans on putting that towards their honeymoon.
The wedding ceremony was absolutely fantastic and the reception was gorgeously decorated and got a lot of positive comments. Their first dance together made us all realize what a handsome couple this really was. The memories of that night were terrific; I danced until my feet got sore, and I don’t regret a second of it. With my daughter married, she may have a baby girl at some point in their lives. I’m sure that when the time comes to pick out accessories and gifts for the baby shower, I’ll know right where to go.
