Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. I had a really difficult time finding exactly what I wanted to get for them. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Narrowing it down was the big challenge. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. Buying them together rather than individually saved me a pretty penny.
I knew my bridesmaids would be thrilled if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. I didn’t have my wedding cake topper yet, nor did I have the wedding favors for my friends and family, so that’s where I went next. Bottle openers made of chrome in the form of birds of peace and salt and pepper shakers that looked like a couple on their wedding day were what I went with. Normally, I would have gotten some containers for the chrome openers, but the boxes they came in were so adorable that I just went with those. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
We got a figurine of a bride and groom holding each other to put at the top of our cake. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. Now, I had everything but the gifts for my girls, so I had to make a final decision. I did go with boxes for jewelry for each of them, and also bought a piece of unique wedding jewelry to put inside. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. The pearl wedding jewelry I picked out to wear at my wedding was from the same spot. There are some really exquisite pieces to choose from, and less costly than you may imagine. The women in our wedding were elated with what I got them, and the men seemed pretty content with their thank you presents, too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. Only time will tell.
