I really like a theme wedding. They can be so much fun. Last weekend I went to a fantastic wedding and reception. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
They chose a small country church to hold the wedding ceremony. They had satin bows and ribbon to decorate the pews and beautiful flower arrangements with candles all around the altar. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. It was spectacular. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. From the country décor to the themed wedding favors, everything was perfection. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. The corn stalks and bales of hay really made this the perfect picture of a down home reception. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. We were all having a fantastic time.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. It was the perfect themed cake topper. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. That was such a unique idea.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was plenty of great food to choose from. The fun never stopped, we danced, ate great foods, and had a fantastic time. The country western theme was a blast.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
The bridesmaids looke so nice in their linen summer dresses and the groomsmen were quite handsome in their drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
Their reception was more than elegant too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. Seashells, orchids and little starfish placed in a sand filled tray, with a gorgeous white candle on each side, was her centerpieces. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding invitations she had put together. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

A theme wedding is my favorite. They can be so much fun. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. It was all done in a country western motif.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But nothing could compare to the elegance of the bride and groom. They were a picure perfect couple. When the ceremony ended the happy couple left for the reception in a horse drawn buggy.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.

All the tables had red and white checkered table cloths, with little metal buckets of wildflowers in them. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the themed wedding favors. There were strings of white christmas lights all around the picnic tables, with a few old fashioned lanterns here and there. The corn stalks and bales of hay really made this the perfect picture of a down home reception. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. It was great fun for everyone.
They had a gorgeous cake with a funny country western cake topper that gave everyone a good laugh. It was the perfect novelty topper. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. Everyone thought they were so cute.
There were so many delicious dishes served at the reception. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was plenty of great food to choose from. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. We all had a wonderful time at the country western themed party.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. A beach wedding ceremony is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. I plan on having a beach wedding and reception too, one day.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. She made a lovely bride in her ocean blue flowing crepe dress, and he was such a handsome groom in his white linen beach outfit. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
The reception was something special too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. Her crystal champagne glasses had beach themed stems and her place card holders were little seashells.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding invitations that worked perfectly. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.
